Bottle Blowing Experiment

Hypothesis:
The sound of air pitches at different levels when blown into different air spaces.

Materials:
1.Empty Juice bottles of different sizes.
2.Water
3.Air

Procedure:
1. Arrange the empty juice bottles according to sizes from smallest to largest.
2. Blow air into each bottle and listen to the pitch of the sound.
3. Then fill the juice bottles with water to the levels marked on the bottle
4. Blow air into each bottle and listen to the pitch of the sound

Results:
The smallest bottle made a high pitched and the big bottle made a low pitch sound. On each bottle the line to fill the water to was at a different level. I learnt that the smaller the bottle is the louder the pitch  gets and the bigger the bottle the lower the pitch  gets.

Conclusion:

From this experiment I proved my hypothesis correct which was that sound of air pitches at different levels when blown into different air spaces.
